23 Dec 2024 | We did the Food Tour, Northern Lights Tour and Two Day South Coast Tours. We couldn’t recommend Wake Up Reykjavik highly enough. HUGE SHOUT OUT to Daníel and Guðný for all their wonderful advice and assistance with planning our trip to Iceland to make it truly memorable. Thank you so much - you’re absolute legends. We’re coming back in 2027!

This is the perfect way to begin your stay in Iceland. We learned so much about the history and culture of Reykjavik. The capital city is gorgeous and while we were lucky to have avoided any wind and rain, you should always be prepared for it. Our guide, Burger, was an excellent host. He was entertaining, knowledgeable, and felt like a friend. He really took the time to speak with each member of our group, offering up tips that made the rest of our trip better than we could have imagined. The food was unforgettable. We can confidently say we had the best lamb dish we’ve ever had on this tour. We circled back to a couple of the restaurants for more later in the week (with a discount provided for doing the tour)! Overall, this is an experience we cannot recommend enough. We’ve been on many food tours and this is definitely the best!

The food tour did a great job of giving a preview of what Reykjavik restaurants have to offer. I look forward to going back to some of the restaurants and exploring more off their menus later during the trip! Lenny was an amazing tour guide! He not only answered all our questions regarding the food but also gave tips and answered our questions about the area. Definitely recommend booking this tour at the beginning of your trip for a taste of Reykjavik.
