Luckily we had a sunny day and we were able to appreciate the beautiful landscape. Came here on January 12th 2025, it was cold!

It's truly the paradise for whales, penguins, and surely the human travellers. The place all lives live paradisely. Glaciers and icebergs present stunning and tranquil sceneries that are beyond earthly pandemonium. We even saw a small sailboat passing by our ship in disdain.

Paradise Harbor (Paradise Bay) is a wide embayment behind Lemaire and Bryde Islands in Antarctica, indenting the west coast of Graham Land between Duthiers and Leniz Points. The name was first applied by whalers operating in the vicinity and was in use by 1920. Argentina's Almirante Brown Antarctic Scientific Research Base stands on the coast of the bay, as does Chile's González Videla Antarctic Base. Brown Station is named after Admiral William Brown, the father of the Argentine Navy. I did a photo cruise excursion and have a ton of pictures of the bay, but have included very few (all beautiful, but mostly white, blue and grey. Instead, I focused on our landing at Brown Station and a climb up 70M (230ft) Punta Proa peak behind Brown Station, which allowed for some stunning views from the peak. If photo cruising is an option with your tour, always take it, I got within 25 feet of two sleeping Humpbacks who were actually quite boring as they just sort of bobbed up and down and occasionally breathed. I was able to get very close to seals on ice flows and the ice itself.
