In December we stayed for three days at Onga Boutique Lodge, and it exceeded our expectations in every possible way! From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcome and very special. The atmosphere is warm and personal, and the staff genuinely go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Every evening we enjoyed an absolutely delicious dinner, truly excellent food. What we loved most is that you don’t have to think about anything; everything is taken care of, allowing you to fully relax and enjoy the experience. The cabin we stayed in was fully equipped with all comforts and beautifully maintained. Everything felt thoughtful and of high quality. We will definitely come back, and Onga Boutique Lodge will certainly be our fixed place to stay whenever we travel to Norway. Highly recommended!!

A Magical Northern Escape – Thoughtful Hospitality in Every Detail My friend and I had a truly memorable stay at Onga. From the moment we arrived, we felt so well cared for—like guests in a cozy, artfully curated home rather than a hotel. We booked a Superior room for four nights, which came with access to a private sauna, jacuzzi, and their enchanting Aurora dome—perfect for stargazing and watching the Northern Lights, which I was lucky enough to see two nights in a row. The lodge is run by a warm and delightful team who clearly take pride in creating an intimate, welcoming experience. They went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary needs (with sufficient notice) and seamlessly coordinated activities both on and off the property. Their attention to detail made everything feel effortless on our end. Onga fully embraces the philosophy of ‘slow travel’—inviting you to unplug, savor, and reconnect with nature—yet they remained incredibly attentive and responsive to our preferences. The frozen river walk was an unexpected highlight and one of my favorite moments of the trip. This place is a true gem for anyone seeking tranquility, connection, and a bit of magic in the Arctic wilderness.

A totally amazing experience, outside any other getaway available in the Nordics. Easy access from Oslo (1:45 min direct flight), 30 min car-ride, a true sensation of being in mother nature with top quality service, accomodation and activities. Perfect for families, friends and small business groups that need peace, time away, joint experiences everybody can do, fantastic food and friendly, family like, professional hospitality.
