We book directly with the Hotel. We had a party of 10 including a teenager and two young children. We had three rooms wilderness rooms with lofts which were like little suites and attached to the main hotel and restaurant. We stayed for five days and were full board, we also booked our excursions direct with the hotel. We couldn’t recommend this experience highly enough. The website is woefully underwhelming compared to the facilities available. It’s a very modern, well built, luxury hotel. The wilderness loft rooms had a double sofa bed on the ground floor, and then a double bed on the mezzanine along with two further single beds. The bed is comfortable as were the duvets, the pillows need improving. We had robes, towels, washing products, hairdryer, a kettle and ample storage. considering it was -38 when we were there, the rooms were always warm. The shower room was a wet room with under floor heating. The full board was probably the best part of the experience the breakfast lunch and dinner was delicious by high standards and varied each day, but with always a choice between vegan, fish and meat, deserts and starters, then drinks at an additional cost. Teas and coffees were free from the machines at all times. The other very impressive feature was the winter clothing you get to use if you book excursions. They have a whole building, which is fully kitted out in every size you can imagine for your winter overalls, balaclava, outer mittens, inner mittens, snow boots and socks. The staff working in this cabin size you up, check that you’re dressed properly and advise you what to wear underneath before you leave the building. We bought a lot of winter clothing from the UK and took it with us, we really didn’t need to, what is provided is far superior to anything we could’ve purchased in the UK but you will need your own base layer and your own intermediate layer. In -38 We wore two base layers, intermediate layer, a coat and the overalls, balaclava, hat and two hoods along with obviously the mittens provided, socks and snow boots and were perfectly warm and comfortable. The kit was available to us the whole time we were there And even better they even had a full outfit for my three-year-old son. The actual site is amazing. It’s off the beaten track nestled in Woodland so the walks are beautiful. It’s all built up alongside the river, which was frozen when we were there, but they do have Riverside saunas and hot tubs. The restaurant is large with different seating areas and they also have a bar Area for evening drinks and games. The staff all seemed very local, kind, and extremely professional. There was never a moment in our whole stay where we felt unserved or asked for something that wasn’t accommodated. They almost felt like a family team, little occasions where a nice waiter gave our son chocolate to help him eat his dinner, just small things that made all the difference. We had a flight delayed by two days and the hotel were incredibly accommodating with extending our stay, letting us stay in the same rooms, helping us with flights and weather reports letting us keep our snow gear so we could continue to enjoy the outside. They even let us use a function room to entertain our children who needed to let off a bit of steam and be noisy as being outside in -38 was difficult at times. We used the hotels transfer service. We had a whole coach to ourselves on the way to the hotel and a mini bus on the way back. It’s an hour journey on straight roads. We were a little apprehensive about the hotel, the location and the excursions, to be honest because it was such good value. We wondered what the downside, maybe. But there wasn’t one. We came away from our holiday, even with the delay, having an experience that we will all remember forever And would recommend every part of the harriniva adventure resort to any one of our friends and family.

Had an amazing time whilst staying here. Did the five day Husky Safari, which is definitely not for the faint of heart but for dog lovers and adventure seekers and incredible experience. Spent the first and last night of the trip at the hotel, with great food and service. What an amazing team they have here, who are super knowledgeable and supportive.

My son and I visited in March and experienced the fantastic multi-day guided snowmobile "powder pro" safari. Harriniva resort is a very special place and somewhere I will certainly visit again. So many different winter activities to experience. Food and guest services were excellent. The staff at the family run Harriniva resort go the extra mile to make sure guests are truly looked after. Our trip gave us a true taste of one of Northern Europe's last great wilderness area's. Scenery in Lappish Finland was simply breathtaking. Northern lights, meeting the Sami people and sledding across the frozen trails, lakes and tundra. We did it all. Booked via Artisan travel in the UK this trip was one of the best experiences I've ever had.
